Professional Ethics Workshop

By Dr. Chris Brown

Earn 3 CEUs

As our professional boundaries and questions related to multiple relationships and social media become increasingly complex, so do the ethical implications of the decisions we make.  Counseling professionals are encouraged to anticipate and address the unethical uncertainties that may arise in their work.

By the end of this session, participants will demonstrate understanding of:

  • Multiple relationships, boundary issues, and client confidentiality.
  • The proliferation of digital and internet technologies and ethical practice.
  • Guidelines and processes for ethical decision making.
Chrisanthia (Chris) Brown, Ph.D. is the Chair of the Division of Counseling and Educational Psychology at of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Education.  She is an associate member of the American Psychological Association’s Ethics Committee and has spoken to numerous audiences throughout her professional career about ethical issues.
