Insomnia is considered one of the most prevalent sleep disorders in the United States and affects between 10-30% of the population according to the National Institute of Health. Insomnia has been found to have significant impacts on both medical and behavioral health disorders and can lead to elevations in both. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi) is an evidenced based treatment for insomnia and is recognized by the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine as a first line treatment for insomnia. Participants will also learn about implementing CBTi with special populations (active-duty service members and veterans, athletes, shift workers, PTSD, chronic pain, and TBI) and navigating potential challenges.
