What Every Psychologist Should Know About Sex Therapy

Participants will engage in an interactive workshop to increase comfort with addressing sexual concerns with clients. The facilitators will model therapeutic language to foster a safe therapeutic environment where patients feel affirmed, respected, and regarded as they navigate concerns related to sexuality. Participants will observe interventions used to support patients in their journey to beautifully erotic life.

Drs. Kim Wallace-Young and Taryn Acosta Lentz are Clinical Assistant Professors in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Kansas Medical Center. Drs. Wallace-Young and Acosta Lentz are committed to helping patients heal and thrive as they cope with reproductive challenges, such as infertility, high risk pregnancy, postpartum depression/anxiety, pregnancy loss, sexual concerns, menopause, sexual orientation/gender identity issues

COST: Free for GKCPA members. $15 for nonmembers/guests.
This is only approved as a live, interactive CE presentation. Participants will have the same physical presence expectations through video that would be required for in-person events to gain CE credit.
