Ethics in a Changing World: Applying and Practicing Ethics While Meeting the Demands of a Changing World

Presented by Amy M. Shoffner

Receive 2 CE's

Practicing psychologists regularly face ethical dilemmas and at times the APA Code of Ethics does not offer clear guidance in ethical decision-making. This is especially true as the field of Psychology and the World is changing. This 2-hour presentation is designed to consider the strengths and limitations of the APA Code of Ethics, especially as it applies to a changing World. Participants will discuss the application of ethics to telehealth and social media policies (both examples of a changing World). Participants will also gain insight into ethically promoting “out of the box” thinking in developing, practicing, and researching interventions to meet the needs of a changing World. Participants will be asked to think critically about the application of ethics to a changing World.
